This exhibit features work by the talented young people of Indiana-Purdue Fort Wayne's Visual Communication and Design Department. This unique display will include many kinds of media including photography and computer design. The students' work is selected by staff in related IPFW departments.

CLAY DISCOVERY CAMP for grades 4-6

Clay Discovery Camp for kids in grades 4-6 will be held on August 2-5, from 10 a.m. to noon each day. The cost is $45 for members / $55 for non-members. Preregistration and prepayment are required. To register, contact the art center at 419.238.6837, 1.888.238.3837, wassenberg@embarqmail.com, or send a check made out to Wassenberg Art Center with the names of the child or children, parent/guardian name, address and phone number where you may be reached.
Clay and sculpting materials come in many forms, and instructor Anna Fisher will guide the kids as they work with air dry clay, sculpy clay, red clay and white clay. Techniques and activities will include some hand-building, use of molds, throwing on the wheel, and glazing.
This art camp is sponsored by Cooper Farms and Wal-Mart.

A wide range of categories provides something for everyone to enjoy. The photographs displayed are selected by jurors from the huge number of entries that are submitted by both professional and amateur photographers.

MEMBERS' SHOW AND SALE

This exhibit features work by Wassenberg members who are fine artists, potters, jewelers, woodcarvers, glassmakers and photographers. The show also gives beginning artists a chance to display their work. Many of the pieces are for sale at very reasonable prices. This show is popular with the public, and many collectors come in from out of town to visit it each year.
