Annex


In 1984, an annex was added on the north side of the Mansion to exhibit an ever increasing number of artifacts. Displays in the Annex include a County Store, the Clark Shoe Store items, memorabilia from the Civil War, Spanish American War, World War I, and World War II.

Peony Festival Displays. Van Wert County was known as the 'Peony Capital of the World.' The Peony Parade hosted over 100,000 people each year in the 1930's

The famous West-Daniels murder spree was brought to an end by Van Wert law enforcement

Part of the great collection of Indian lore uncovered in the Great Black Swamp of Van Wert County
