The Van Wert County Foundation, Inc. administers college scholarships for graduates of the following area high schools:

Antwerp High School

Crestview High School

Delphos Jefferson High School

Delphos St. Johns High School

Lincolnview High School

Parkway High School *

Paulding High School

Spencerville High School *

Van Wert High School

Vantage Vocational School

Wayne Trace High School

Applicants who have received a GED certificate are also eligible provided they last attended one of the listed high schools. Home schooled students in these school districts are also eligible.

For those students meeting the residence eligibility requirements, The Van Wert County Foundation grants college scholarships to full time undergraduate students for their sophomore through senior years in college. We do not grant scholarships for graduate programs.

The Foundation does not grant scholarships until after the students have successfully completed their first year of college. Applicants are expected to maintain a grade point average of at least 2.75 during their freshman year and demonstrate a need for financial assistance.

To remain eligible for scholarship consideration, students must maintain a grade point average of at least 3.0 for their second year in college through obtaining their undergraduate degree. Students must also be enrolled as full time students.

High School Applications for high school seniors are distributed to Guidance Counselors at the high schools listed at the top of this page in April of each year. By completing this application, students will automatically be placed on our mailing list for Scholarship Applications, which are sent out during the spring of the student's college freshman year. If you are a high school senior, please pick up the High School Application from your Guidance Counselor - not The Foundation!

Students presently enrolled in college who did not complete a High School Application may obtain a Scholarship Application from The Foundation at the address at the bottom of this page. Scholarship Applications are available beginning April 1 each year and must be received by June 1 to be considered for the next school year. Scholarship Applications are not accepted at any other times.

Remember, you must meet the Residence Eligibility Requirements to be considered for a scholarship!
